Del Taco Restaurants, Inc., the nation’s second largest Mexican quick service restaurant*, has signed a deal with successful North Carolina-based franchise group, Ram Restaurants Inc. (“Ram Restaurants”) to open five units within the Raleigh and Durham areas. The deal, expected to bring Del Taco restaurants to North Carolina for the first time, comes only weeks after Del Taco announced a development agreement for Southern Virginia.

Beef-loving Argentines are cutting back on their steaks as the country's economy slumps, meaning cattle consumption will likely hit a record low this year, a market report published on Friday showed.

Dakota City Tyson Currently Closed Due to Gas Leak
Late into the Sunday evening hours, a car struck the walls of a Gas-Insulated Substation just behind the Tyson Foods processing plant in Dakota City, Nebraska causing a major gas leak at164th Street and North 20th Street.
At approximately 8:30am Monday, Dakota City Fire lowered gas levels, and the vehicle was removed from the building.
According to a source, theleak has led to halt in operations at Tyson and other neighboring businesses.

World Food Prices Hold Firm in June, UN's FAO Reports
The United Nations world food price index held steady in June data showed on Friday, with increases in vegetable oil, sugar and dairy products offset by a fall in the price of cereals.
