Resettling the old temple village and running it with the auspices of the crown will let the druids mix with the rest of Ryn's subjects comfortably, and serve the larger goal of reclaiming lands lost during the Godswar.

Progress
Etheryn is a mandatory companion for the mission and Elthara will be a guest companion, so you can only take one extra companion. If you have two companions while trying to start the quest and neither is Etheryn, the game will open the 'change party' menu to allow you to pick who you want to bring. Defeating Archdruid Xadaron with Abjure will lead to them being banished by you, otherwise Ryn will finish them off. It is unknown if this makes any difference in the rest of the quest. Afterwards the ground will shift and the party will fall to lower levels of the dungeon. The far western room is leads to a bridge with a corrupt elemental in the water. To avoid damage, you must use a remedy, leananstone, ley crystal grenade, have viviane in party or have Abjure equipped and unused. If you pass the bridge, you will get in a (time limited?) fight with Spore Spawn. Beating it will have you encounter Lanniere, a corrupted dryad that desperately needs to be f*cked. You can choose to leave her be, f*ck her or end her. Dealing with the dryad might help you further in the dungeon. Taking the east approach to the stairs will have you encounter 'Mastermind' style rotation puzzle. Taking the west approach will have you fight more ghostly druids. When you attempt to take the staircase upwards, you will get in a fight with incandescent husk.
On the upstairs, you can encounter Fungal Amalgamation in the far west part which is three conjoined elves and some fungus on the side. After beating them you can invite them to wayfort or have elthara cleanse them to mercifully end them and let their spirits pass on. There is also a wordlock chest to far east. While attempting to enter the far south area you have two choices. You can try to enter from east, but you must use naptha, Leananstone, Ley crystal grenade or have viviane in party. Otherwise you will have to force your way through and take damage. Or you can enter from west, but you must use naptha, leananstone, ley crystal grenade, or have Brienne (with Pyromancer set), Kiyoko, Viviane or Agnimitra in party. Otherwise you will have to force your way through and take damage. Regardless of whichever way you pick, you will get in a fight with a large amount of infested druids. Afterwards, you will run into the usual healing fountain, and then the final boss of the dungeon: The Wyld Tree.
